Boys Varsity Wrestling vs. Upper Moreland HS School

The Wrestling Team hosted Upper Moreland on Wednesday night for League Dual Meet. It was also our Senior night. And while the outcome was not what I had hoped for - losing 45-34 (we had defeated them earlier in the year 42-38), it was a great night overall. The crowd was the best of the year and perhaps the best in several years. I want to thank the Fans Club, the Cheerleaders, Coach Wilson (and many Basketball players) for coming out and supporting our team. Tonight is what HS athletics is all about! Our team was also proud to support Athletes Helping Athletes program and added a nice touch to the evening.

Unfortunately for two of our Senior wrestlers, Jon Keller received a forfeit (which I don't like when other teams forfeit to a wrestler on Senior night) and Nick Senderling was unable to wrestle due do an injury. The one Senior wrestler who did compete tonight, Brayden Druger put on quite a show. After racking up 12 points in the first minute of the match, he pinned his opponent in 1:24. Another great performance was turned in by Sophomore Dan Keller winning 16-3.

Next up Hatboro-Horsham tomorrow night at Hatboro @ 7:00.
